Installer/Owner Responsibility
Your choice of installers can dramatically impact the future performance of your hardwood floor. We recommend our products be installed by a professional hardwood flooring installer, one who is not only familiar with our Character Grade® products, but one who will protect your investment by properly evaluating and preparing the site, performing the necessary site and product tests, insuring proper acclimation of the flooring and carefully inspecting the flooring prior to installation for any grade, finish or milling defect.
Although we try to ensure a trouble free product for our customers, there are times when a concern is raised. All questions or concerns in regard to the grading or milling of our hardwood flooring products are required to be resolved prior to installation. HomerWood accepts no responsibility or liability for the cost of product, replacement and/or labor when flooring containing grade, finish or milling defects has been installed prior to resolutions. Installing our flooring constitutes acceptance of the product.
About our Character Grade®
We allow nature to customize your floor. Our Character Grade® flooring will contain a mix of clear and select planks as well as character planks. Unique natural occurring character marks may include knots, splits, checking, minimal sap, mineral streaks, color variations, embodied cracks and variations in grain. These unique natural characteristics are normal and are not construed as defects. Natural color variations in raw material will dictate the final shade of stain. Since every tree provides us with its own unique natural characteristics, your newly installed floor may vary from samples or pictures shown.
